[PRICE-TBC]price per cubic yard
6 steps: work out your yardage, pick the material, confirm your delivery address, get a price, put 20 percent down, and the loads start, most within 1 to 3 days from stock. The minimum order is 20 cubic yards and everything is sold by the cubic yard.
The live shop is not taking online orders at the moment. Orders are placed by phone or through the form on this site.
Everything is sold by the cubic yard. Measure the area and the depth, then run it through the calculator on this site. If you are filling a pool or a pond the volume is bigger than it looks, so use an average depth across the footprint. The minimum order is 20 cubic yards.
Clay fill for bulk and for anything you want to hold its shape. Select fill for anything that will carry load. Topsoil for the top 4 to 6 inches where something has to grow. If you are not sure, describe the job rather than guessing. Changing your mind after the truck has tipped means paying the trucking twice.
Most orders ship in 1 to 3 days, delivered from material we hold in stock at the pit. On very large orders of about 500 loads or more, we can go and source the cheapest supply for the job instead, which takes longer but lowers the price per cubic yard on that volume. For a normal order there is nothing to choose here, it ships from stock.
We quote against the delivery address, because haul distance drives the number. If you have a competing quote you think is better, send it to us to review before you place the order. Price matching has to happen before the order goes in. We cannot change pricing after an order or a payment.
An initial payment of 20 percent starts the order. The balance falls due immediately after delivery, from the date of the estimate or invoice we issue. Late balances carry 1.5 percent per month compounded.
Loads arrive between 8am and 5pm until the ordered amount is met, across several loads and sometimes several days on a large order. Pay American Dirt Delivery directly. Never the driver, never a carrier.
Most orders leave from material we already hold in stock at the pit, so the standard delivery window is 1 to 3 days. On very large orders, roughly 500 loads and up, we can source to the cheapest available supply instead. That takes longer, but on that kind of volume it drops the price per cubic yard. Every window excludes holidays, weather days and dry time days.

Tier pricing sits on the live WooCommerce shop with no unit printed anywhere on the product page, and the site's own banner says online ordering is switched off. We will not publish a number we cannot state the unit for. Confirm the unit and whether delivery is included and this becomes a one line change.
None of this is buried in a PDF. Bulk material carries some genuinely unusual commercial terms, mostly because the trucking is spent the moment the wheels turn, and it is better you know them now than at invoice time.
All of our materials are sold by the cubic yard. 1 cubic yard is 27 cubic feet. As a general guide, 1 cubic yard of aggregate, sand or dirt weighs about 1.5 tons, so a 20 yard order is roughly 30 tons on the road.
There is a 20 cubic yard minimum order, with bulk wholesale pricing on larger volumes. Below that threshold the trucking cost swamps the material cost and nobody comes out ahead. A 10 yard order does not cost half what a 20 yard order costs.
Payments not made within the stated terms are subject to a late payment charge of 1.5 percent per month, compounded, on the unpaid balance. If payment is not made within 21 days of delivery, a lien may be filed against the property unless other terms have been agreed in writing.
An order cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled delivery incurs a cancellation fee of a 4 hour minimum or 4 load minimum driver fee, per driver. Orders cancelled after signature approval incur a 15 percent charge on the entire order, because dispatching costs have already been committed.
Since roughly 90 percent of our cost is trucking, we do not refund trucking costs after a delivery has been made, and we do not accept returns of any kind. That is the nature of bulk material. Once it is on your ground, the truck cost has been spent.
The terms of a quotation, other than the conditions of sale, are not binding, do not constitute an offer, and are subject to change without notice. If you send a purchase order carrying different terms, those terms do not become part of the contract.
6 things, and you can have all of them ready before you call. The delivery address. The number of cubic yards. Which of the 3 materials. The date you need it by. Where on the site you want it tipped. And whether you have a machine to move it once it lands.
The delivery address is the one that matters most, because we quote against it. Haul distance from the pit holding your material is the biggest single variable in what a cubic yard costs, so a quote given without an address is a guess, and a guess given over the phone tends to be a low one that changes later. We would rather give you a real number.
If you have a plan, a geotechnical report or a competing quote, have that to hand too. A spec sheet tells us in 30 seconds whether we can source to it. A competing quote has to be reviewed before the order goes in if you want it matched.
20 percent down starts the order and books the truck. The balance falls due immediately after delivery from the date of the estimate or invoice.
The deposit exists because dispatching is a real commitment. Once your order is in the schedule, a truck and a driver are allocated to it, and that allocation has a cost whether or not the load goes. That is also why the cancellation terms bite inside 24 hours of a scheduled delivery, and why they bite harder once an order has signature approval.
It works in your favour too. A supplier taking orders with no deposit has no reason to hold your date against a better one, which is precisely the behaviour that put Jerry in this business in the first place.
20 cubic yards, which is about 30 tons. Below that the trucking cost dominates the price, because roughly 90 percent of what a load costs is the truck rather than the dirt. Bulk wholesale pricing is available on larger volumes.
20 percent down to start the order, with the balance due immediately after delivery from the date of the estimate or invoice. Late balances carry 1.5 percent per month compounded, and a lien may be filed if payment is not made within 21 days of delivery.
Yes, but it has to happen before you order. Send us the competing quote to review before the order goes in. We cannot change pricing after an order has been placed or a payment has been made, so the review has to come first.
Cancelling within 24 hours of scheduled delivery means a 4 hour or 4 load minimum driver fee, per driver. Cancelling after signature approval means a 15 percent charge on the whole order, because the dispatching cost has already been incurred.
No. We do not accept returns of any kind and we do not refund trucking after a delivery has been made. Roughly 90 percent of the cost is the truck, and that cost was spent the moment the wheels turned. Order a margin rather than a shortfall.
Not at the moment. The shop is not taking online orders, so orders go through by phone or through the form on this site. Give us the delivery address, the cubic yards and the material and we will come back with a price.
Send us the address and the number and we will come back with a price. If you do not know the yardage yet, the calculator will get you there.
